Heads up – it’s time for some enthusiasms. Let me know what you think via twitter at @JamieSmartCom, on my Facebook page, or on my blog here
1. A quote I’m resonating with this week
This week’s quote came up during a 3-day CEO Intensive I was doing with one of my clients last week. It comes from my favourite physicist, David Bohm (1917-1992). Bohm was the author of “Quantum Theory”, the standard textbook on quantum physics and described as one of the most important theoretical physicists of the 20th century. His amazing book, Wholeness and the Implicate Order has had a massive influence on how I think about reality. Here’s the quote:
“Space is not empty. It is full, a plenum as opposed to a vacuum, and is the ground for the existence of everything, including ourselves. The universe is not separate from this cosmic sea of energy.”
I often hear people saying things like, “I’d do what I love, if only I knew what it was” and “I’d do what I love, if only I knew how to do it.” So last week, I did a Facebook Live broadcast on my business page called “The 5 Paradoxical Clues To The Work You’re Here To Do”. People really loved this 30-minute video, so I thought I’d share it with you here:

3. This week’s glimpse of the future
Here’s a fascinating article from Singularity Hub with 8 predictions for how AI is going to change our cities over the next decade (including the ‘pre-crime’ division from Minority Report!)

Today (Thursday, Dec 28) at 7pm I’m doing a 2-hour masterclass on transitioning to doing work you love without taking a pay-cut. Among other things, I’ll be revealing the #1 reason most people fail to make that shift, and what you can do to change that for yourself in 2018. If you’re ready to make some changes, get th details and register for your place at:

This isn’t easy for me, but I’m going to reveal the first single I ever bought, SOS by Abba. I know what you’re thinking… Abba!?! But I’ve got two things in my defense: 1) I was only 10 years old at the time, and 2) It’s fucking brilliant!!!! So good, in fact, that when I led a noisy indy rock band in the 1990s, we occasionally covered it. Super hooky, with a fantastically big chorus. You’re welcome: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvChjHcABPAThat’s it for this week!
Big love
Jamie

Each year, my team and I head off to the Canary Islands for a week with my dear friends, colleagues and mentors Jan and Chip Chipman for the Clarity Life Transformation Retreat. We spend 5 days diving deep into the principles behind clarity, and lives transform in the process. If you’d like to find out more about it, If that’s you, email Nikki on info@jamiesmart.com and type “Tenerife” in the subject line.4. Join the next intake of Project Jupiter
If you want to transition from full-time employment to something more fulfilling and on-purpose for you, you may be a good fit for the next intake of Project Jupiter (starting January 2018). Here’s how you’ll know if you’re right for Jupiter (and vice-versa):
– You are currently in full-time employment, but…
– You want to transition from your job to something more fulfilling and “on-purpose”
– You sense that it’ll probably take 1-3 years to complete the transition, but…
– Your goal hasn’t been getting much closer; it seems to stay the same distance away
– You want to make progress, but lack clarity about either the ‘what’ or the ‘how’
– You know that if you were clear on those, with a solid plan, you’d do what it takes to make it happen
– You’ve been thinking about it for long enough, and you’re ready to do something about it NOW
If that’s you, email Nikki at info@jamiesmart.com and type “Project Jupiter” in the subject line.
