Sorry I’m a day late with this. I got overly enthusiastic about something else and didn’t finish it on time 🙂 Let me know what you think via twitter at @jamiesmartcom, on my Facebook page here, or in the comments below.
1. A quotation I’m appreciating this week
I got this from the UK police road-craft manual, but it goes beyond high-speed pursuits. In fact, it seems particularly relevant to me in light of the explosion of technologies that conspire to absorb our attention.
“Concentration: The complete application of mind and body to an endeavour to the complete exclusion of everything not relevant to that endeavour.”
2. A great TV series
I don’t watch much TV, but once in a while, something captures my attention. The gritty cop drama The Shield is one of those. Warning: this show makes for extremely compelling viewing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7dKgKu02zQ
3. A great speech from a great actor
The Shield’s star is Michael Chiklis. He plays the antihero Vic Mackey. In real life, he seems like a very cool, down to earth guy. Here’s a commencement speech he made which I really like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDRDtBkN460
4. A trick of the mind that I love
If you’ve ever doubted the fact that your perceptions are being created from inside your mind, check out these incredible 3D drawings by Stefan Pabst

5. This week’s 3 minute miracle
I loved this the moment I first saw it. Still do. It’s Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel with Come Up and See Me (Make Me Smile) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpJ0cyXbMbI
By the way, today is your final chance to enter the competition to win a 75-minute Professional Practice Breakthrough session with me (worth £2,000). You can enter for your chance to win here: https://www.jamiesmart.com/expo-giveaway/
That’s it for this week. Enjoy!
Big love
Jamie
