Shaa had had events happen in her youth that led her to have a survival mindset, and that it was her against the world.
Shaa’s mindset changed when she was able to attend a school on a scholarship. There she could see all the other students and how privileged they were, meanwhile she was living in a hostile for homeless families. While comparing herself to the others, she decided that she would take control of her life and vowed to never compare herself to anyone ever again.
Shaa talks about the difference between doing the work and following steps. The work always needs to be put in but you do not have to follow anyone’s steps.
She believes in taking action, because when you wait, you hesitate.
Shaa had a second major breakthrough when her son’s teacher informed her that he was a very talented athlete but he didn’t have an interest in doing it. When Shaa asked her son why he said, “Mommy just because your good at something doesn’t mean you want to do it.” It was at this point Shaa realized that is what she was doing with her business.
Shaa believes her greatest gifts are her relationships, and how rock solid they are. If she were to fall she wouldn’t even have to ask them to pick her up.
