When the event hosts asked me to deliver the final keynote speech at this year’s Viva Event, I asked them what gift they’d love the participants to walk away from the conference with.
Their answer inspired the title of my talk: Troubleshooting Enlightenment – How to Keep the Feeling Alive When You’re Back in the Real World.
During the talk, I shared:
- What gets in the way of that feeling staying with you,
- How to ‘reconnect’ to the principles, even in the midst of life’s challenges,
- Practical insights to help you keep showing up with clarity and ease, and
- Insights for those looking to share the 3Ps professionally.
So I invite you to ask *yourself* this question if you’ve ever wondered where the feeling goes:
Q: How do you keep ‘the beautiful feeling’ alive when you’re back in the real world?
This is exactly what today’s episode is all about, featuring the full recording of my keynote.
When I listened to the recording myself, I picked up on the Viva vibe of fun and playfulness throughout the episode.
As well as being really enjoyable (if I say so myself) I heard from multiple people that they came away from the session with a quiet mind and new, fresh insights on the principles and what they make possible.
There’s something else you’ll find relevant if you’re a coach or therapist:
During the talk, I asked who had asked themselves these questions:
Why doesn’t everyone know this?
That’s the question I hear most often from people when they first catch a glimpse of the principles, followed by…
How can I get this out there?
It was almost everyone in the audience (around 200 people).
So, during my talk, I shared some of the distinctions and ‘mindsets’ that can make you unusually good at having a transformational impact with this understanding and experiencing more of the feeling in your own life.
Because as Sydney Banks said:
“The more you help others, the more you help yourself. Believe me, that’s really true. The more you help others, the better the feeling you will get.”
Delivering this speech made me realize how much more we can do to bring these insights into practical, transformative action for ourselves and the world.
My team and I are already moving in this direction—more to come soon.
