1. A quote I’m resonating with this week
When I read this passage in an interview with the Dalai Lama, my heart leapt. It looks to me like the principles behind clarity deliver on what he intuitively senses here:
“My main hope is eventually, in modern education field, introduce education about warm-heartedness, not based on religion, but based on common experience and a common sort of sense, and then scientific finding.”
2. Live coaching sessions via Facebook Live
I’ve been experimenting with doing coaching sessions via Facebook Live in the Profitable Coaches Group. We had a great session on Monday night – I coached Sara (a coach) on promoting a programme she’s running and Tim (a therapist) on working with business people. You can watch the sessions here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/profitablecoaches/permalink/1721279951511154/
And if you’d like to put your hand up for coaching in the coming weeks, just follow the directions in the post below the video.
3. This week’s glimpse of the future
Scientists teach bacteria to draw pictures (including video game characters). Read about the dawn of ‘disco bacteria’ http://www.wired.co.uk/article/disco-bacteria-mit
4. A fascinating TED talk
This talk by Brian Robertson, the creator of Holacracy, really gave me some food for thought. He points out that cities become 20% more productive when they double in size, while companies tend to become 20% less productive when they double. Holacracy is his solution: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJxfJGo-vkI
5. This week’s 3 minute miracle
I don’t normally like this sort of thing, but Benjamin Gibbard (singer from Death Cab for Cutie) has created a ‘remake’ of the classic Teenage Fanclub album, Bandwagonesque. The original is one of my favourite albums ever, so the idea of a remake by some guy seemed close to sacrilege. Fortunately, what Gibbard has done is beautiful. You can feel the love and reverence for his heroes, and for the source material throughout. Check out his take on the classic Star Sign here:

That’s it for this week!
