Another week, another gust of joy. Here’s some of what I’m enthusiastic about this week. Let me know what you think via twitter at @jamiesmartcom, on my Facebook page here, or in the comments section.
1. A quotation I’m reflecting on this week
This week’s nugget of wisdom comes from the ever-brilliant Mark Twain.
“Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.”
2. A book I’m really enjoying
In last week’s article, I shared a quote from Alex Charfen, author of Entrepreneurial Personality Type. I’m really enjoying the book, and I’m also loving the way that Alex has launched it (see the letter on the right hand side of the photo). Such a cool idea. You can grab your copy of the e-version of Alex’s book here.
3. Delicious smoothies
My dear friend Rich Enion has written a book full of delicious smoothie recipes, and he’s giving my friends a special deal on it. Vegetable are fruit smoothies are one of the core elements of my nutrition these days, so I’m a big fan. When you get Rich’s book at www.enrichd.org/books/enrichd-smoothies and enter the code CLARITY, you’ll get an extra 10% off.
4. A series I binge-watched
The Night Manager with Hugh Laurie and Tom Hiddleston is brilliant. Thrilling, suspenseful and engaging. Watch it. That is all.
5. This week’s 3-minute miracle
As you may already know, I’m a huge fan of the films of Quentin Tarantino, and one of the things I love about his movies is how he uses music. One of my favourite moments in the excellent Django Unchained is the scene where Django (Jamie Foxx) and Dr King Schultz (Cristoph Waltz) set off on horseback to the tune of Jim Croce’s wonderful “I Got a Name”. You can watch the scene here or listen to the full song here.
That’s it for this week. Enjoy!
Big love
Jamie
