2. A brilliant piece of PR work
A couple of weeks ago in the UK, the fast food chain KFC ran out of chicken. Whatever you think of their food, as you can imagine, this is one of the worst things that can happen to a chain of chicken restaurants. 1. A quote I’m resonating with this week
I was listening to a fascinating interview on the Joe Rogan podcast with Johann Hari (author of the book about addiction, Chasing the Scream and a new book, Lost Connections about depression). Hari was quoting Dr Rita Mangi (sp?) who runs a drug programme in Switzerland where (in addition to treatment and support) they give addicts as much (for instance) heroin as they want (under controlled conditions), right up until the point where they don’t want it any more. Her explanation of why the addicts stop using heroin put me in mind of what I’ve seen happening as people get a deeper understanding of the principles behind clarity. Here’s what she said:
