1. A quote I’m resonating with this week
I listen to lots of interview-based podcasts, and one of my favourites is Recode Media with Peter Kafka. On a recent episode, he was interviewing music industry insider, Bob Lefsetz, author of the Lefsetz Letter, and I heard Lefsetz say something that struck me at a deep level. Here it is:
“Do not buy the famous books of people for advice. They are completely different people from you.
The only way you can make it is if you dig down deep and find out what’s special about you, and go have a lot of losses.
There’s one alternative: which is you can become a computer engineer or you can go to an Ivy League School and
work for a bank and you can make money. Other than that, all bets are off.
